Battery life is one of the most important things I check before purchasing a new phone. I am simply tired of having my battery constantly at 5% even though I charged it one hour ago. This is an especially prevalent issue today when we use our phones all day for everything we can think of – conversations with our family and friends, work, apps and games, and even for browsing the web looking for an online casino nz or a very good discount on stuff we like. Therefore, it is not unusual that so many people want to know if there is anything they can do to make their smartphone battery last longer. Luckily for you, there are a few things you can do!
Turn down the brightness
Most people have their brightness set to the max without even realizing it or needing it. If you turn down the brightness of your screen you will be able to save a lot of battery. And do not worry, you will be able to see everything clearly even if your brightness is at 70%. The best thing to do is set your phone to auto-brightness so that you do not even have to think about it.
Close your apps
Many apps we use daily use up our battery even when we are not using those apps. This is because many people keep the apps running in the background and forget to close them. This is especially dangerous if you have a game running in the background while you are browsing the internet, for example. To solve this, simply close all of your apps when you are done with them and keep the battery last longer.
The internet
You might not know this but wi-fi uses up a lot of your phone’s power. I am personally guilty of leaving wi-fi on even when there is no wi-fi signal in the area. It is just easier to always have it on and let your phone connect to the nearest wi-fi spot as soon as you are close to it. However, this is one of the biggest reasons why your battery cannot last even a full day. A much better option for you is to turn on your wi-fi only when you really need it and turn it off as soon as you are done with using it.
Battery-saving mode and airplane mode
When your battery is already low and you need to make it last longer, just turn on whatever battery-saving mode your phone offers. And if you need it to last several hours, you can even try the more extreme method – turning on airplane mode. You will lose a lot of functions such as receiving calls or messages, but your battery will definitely last.
